Please Help Emmergency!?
Hello, I am a healthy 14 year old boy
this yesterday and this morning i have a dull back pain inbetween my shoulder blades.
i sat in a homedic message chair assuming it was a muscle pain.
then i had my younger sister walk across my back (hoping it would crack it)
it cracked 2 times
then my father cracked it in the spot (upper spine In between shoulder blades) and it cracked like 7 times it sounded like pop corn.
usually it would feel great after cracking it but this time it was like 3 times worse and it is getting now progressivly worse at 8:03 pm january 2 2010
Does anyone have any clue what this might be caused from?
I live in the florida keys so i am not admitted to any fresh water streems or lakes, ponds etc.
i havernt been swimming and my dad said it could be from the way i slept.
but when he cracked it, it seemed to enhance the pain by 3x or 4x it still hurts emmensly to bend over or even move my back really?

hmm could be a prolapsed disc. (The rubber like tissue between the vertebrae). its when the inner softer part of the disc (the nucleus pulposus) bulges out (herniates) through a weakness in the outer part of the disc.
Recovery from a slipped disc normally takes between 4-6 weeks. To recover from a slipped disc, most people will only need some gentle exercise and a prescription of painkiller medication. In the majority of cases, a disc that bulges, or protrudes out from in between your vertebrae (bones of the spine), will eventually shrink back. Pain will usually ease as the disc stops pressing on the affected nerve.
